Gdańsk University of Technology signed an agreement with WB Group

During the 32nd International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, the Gdańsk Tech Rector, signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of the University with the WB Group, a Polish manufacturer offering modern solutions for the military and uniformed services. The cooperation agreement concerned projects of crewless naval systems and other solutions intended for the Polish Armed Forces.

The ceremony for signing the agreement took place on September 3, 2024, at the WB Group conference room (partnerships: WB Electronics S.A., RADMOR S.A. and AREX Sp. z o. o. Automation and Measurement Devices Plant), during the first day of Poland's largest International Defence Industry Exhibition. The WB Group signatory was its vice-president, Adam Bartosiewicz, while Gdańsk University of Technology was represented by its Rector, Prof.

Call for applications for the Titanium program (until 08.09.2024)

The Technology Transfer Office invites researchers, PhD students and Gdańsk Tech students to apply for funding from the Titanium Program.

The main objectives of the Titanium Supporting International Patent Applications program are the implementation of mechanisms for the identification and protection of intellectual property on an international scale of valuable inventions developed at Gdańsk University of Technology.

Gdańsk University of Technology as the first Polish University with two ACEEU Accreditations

On 29.08.2024, Gdańsk University of Technology has been granted the ACEEU Entrepreneurial University Accreditation, according to the decision of the Chair of ACEEU (Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities).

Hence, Gdańsk University of Technology has become the first Polish university and the first technical university in the world to have ACEEU accreditation in both Engagement and Entrepreneurship! Accreditation work has been in progress since October 2021. The first one - the ACEEU Engaged University Accreditation - was granted in June 2023.

Deputy Director of the Doctoral School in the advisory team of the Minister of Science

On July 26, 2024, Minister of Science Dariusz Wieczorek appointed an advisory team for the " Społeczna Odpowiedzialność Nauki " and " Społeczna Odpowiedzialność Nauki II " programs. One of the members of this team is Prof. Maciej Bagiński, Ph.D., D.Sc., Eng., the Deputy Director of the Doctoral School for Development and Internationalization.
