International Teaching Week (Germany) - registration until June 30

Esslingen University invites academic staff to participate in the "International Teaching Week", which will take place on November 27 - December 1. This is a great opportunity, especially for teaching staff interested in conducting classes at a foreign university. Registration for the event is open until June 30.

Esslingen University is located in southwestern Germany, in an economically highly influential region. Enterprises like Mercedes, Porsche, Bosch, Siemens, Mahle and Festo are situated close to its campuses.

Scholarships to the USA - apply until May 26

The Polish-American Fulbright Commission invites to apply for the STEM Impact Award 2023-24 scholarship program. The application period lasts until May 26. Earlier, on Thursday, May 18, there will be an online information meeting for those interested in participating in the program.

Fulbright STEM Impact Award is a program for people managing research projects in STEM areas, employed in Polish academic and scientific institutions. The scholarship allows you to carry out a 2-6 week research and/or teaching project and to broaden your knowledge in the field of commercialization of science and effective writing of grant applications in institutions in the USA.

– We have received two strong wings of development called: knowledge and cooperation. I am convinced that this will ensure high flights for the center and all its cooperators - says prof. Henryk Krawczyk, originator and manager of the STOS Competence Center project at Gdańsk University of Technology.  

The ceremonial opening of the Gdańsk Tech STOS Competence Center building and the presentation of the Kraken supercomputer took place on 25 April 2023. The complex, at the heart of which there is a set of specialized server rooms, is one of the most modern IT centers in this part of Europe. The total cost of the investment amounted to almost PLN 250 million.

International competition for students - information meeting

Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology invites Gdańsk Tech students to a meeting with George Smyrnakis, secretary general of WEGEMT (Marine University Association), who will present the methods and conditions of participating in the next edition of TRA VISIONS, a prestigious and most important European competition for students, PhD students and graduates of the study courses associated with widely understood transport. c

The meeting will be held on 24 May at 12 p.m. in prof. Hilary Sipowicz auditorium (1st floor, building no. 30). 


TRA VISIONS 2024 Young Researcher Competition is an initiative financed with EU funds, directed at BSc, MSC, PhD students whose study courses are associated with transport. The competition is open to all the students and graduates of EU-located universities.
