For first-cycle students

The training is obligatory for all first-year full-time and part-time undergraduate students. The aim of the course is to familiarise students with the functioning of the Gdańsk Tech Library and the principles of using its resources. Library training is conducted in the form of an electronic course.

More energy, less waste. Innovative biodegradable waste management solutions

Biogas
Researchers from Gdańsk University of Technology are working on an innovative system to enhance the energy efficiency of small wastewater treatment plants and agricultural biogas plants. The researchers are currently developing a system demonstrator, which will operate in one of the Pomeranian wastewater treatment plants.

Small wastewater treatment plants in Poland struggle with many challenges. One of the most difficult tasks is sludge management after the biological wastewater treatment. Another problem is the energy-consuming treatment processes, which determines the profitability of the entire operation, taking into account the currently increasing energy prices.

Gdańsk Tech awarded for its result in THE World University Ranking

THE WUR Ceremony
On 22th Nov 2022 an award ceremony in Warsaw was held for Polish universities ranked in the most prestigious ranking of higher education institutions in the world - THE World University Rankings 2023.

The event was part of the two-day LUMEN 2022 Conference organised by the Times Higher Education publishing house, the Polish Rectors Foundation and PCG Academia. The conference was attended by the heads of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP), the General Council for Science and Higher Education (GCNiSW), the Commission for the Evaluation of Science (KEN) and the Foundation for Polish Science, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science and numerous representatives of Polish univeristies.

STER Project

The basic tasks of NAWA include the initiation and implementation of activities supporting the process of internationalisation of Polish Higher Education Institutions and research units. This task will be assisted by programmes supporting, above all, the establishment of international partnerships, the development of the potential of universities in terms of the programmes they offer, as well as their organisational preparation in the field of internationalisation.
