The Baltic Windustry conference at Gdańsk University of Technology will be held on 8 September

Registration for the international conference "Baltic Windustry: industrial research in offshore wind energy" is underway. The conference will take place on 8 September at Gdańsk University of Technology. This event is aimed mainly at representatives of industry and science who are active in the field of engineering and innovation, but also at students who have to choose their career path.

The event is organized by Gdańsk University of Technology Offshore Wind Energy Center and the Polish Wind Energy Association.

The conference "Baltic Windustry: industrial research in offshore wind energy" is devoted to industrial research in offshore wind energy. Its aim is to create a platform for cooperation between scientific units and the industry of the offshore wind energy sector. The event includes three sessions:

Gdańsk Tech among 11 Polish universities in the 2022 Shanghai Ranking

Shanghai ranking
Gdańsk University of Technology was classified for the third time in the  Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), i.e. the Shanghai ranking, considered the most prestigious ranking of higher education institutions in the world. Each year, ARWU classifies 2000 universities and publishes the ranking of best 1000 of them. This year’s ranking includes 11 Polish universitites.

Justyna Szostak, PhD Eng, from the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics, chair of the Internationalization Committee and plenipotentiary of the dean for internationalization at the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics, was elected the co-chair of the work group named „Task Force Learning&Teachning” of CESAER – an organization uniting leading technology schools in Europe.

CESAER  organization was founded in 1990. Currently, it unites 58 leading European universities from 26 countries. CESAER safeguards high level of research and education, and aims at developing cooperation with the industry. The members of CESAER undertake integrated activities for the benefit of engineering education, responding to the global market demands.

The organization is divided into seven leading thematic groups (task forces). Justyna Szostak and Prof. Roberto Zanino from Turin will manage the group responsible for learning and teaching.
