Basic fire safety prohibitions
On the premises and in the facilities administered and used by Gdańsk University of Technology, it is prohibited to:
1. Use open fire and smoke in the University and in facilities except for rooms and places intended for this purpose.
2. Perform work with a potential for fire ignition or explosion without proper security and supervision.
3. Close the emergency door in a way that prevents its immediate use in the event of a fire or other hazard requiring evacuation.

Students
Gdańsk University of Technology organizes training in the field of occupational health and safety for all people starting their education. This obligation is imposed on the university by Art. 51 sec. 1 of the Act of 20 July 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science and the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education issued on its basis of 30 October 2018 on how to ensure safe and hygienic working and educational conditions at universities.
Employees
Initial training - general instruction in the field of occupational health and safety
Initial training of newly admitted employees in the field of ‘General training’ takes place every working Monday from 9.00 to 12.00 in the multimedia room of the GUT Library (room 100/4, Main Building). Trainings are conducted by employees of the Occupational Health and Safety and Fire Protection Inspectorate.
