Fahrenheit University Association. Virtual meeting of rectors with the minister
In the fall of last year, the Medical University of Gdańsk, Gdańsk University of Technology and the University of Gdańsk established the Daniel Fahrenheit Association of Universities in Gdańsk. The main goal of its creation is the joint building of the leading position of Gdańsk as an academic center in Poland and abroad, and the initiators of the creation of the Association, i.e.
First project with funding awarded under the CARBONIUM program
Funding in the amount of PLN 35 000 was awarded to Prof. Dariusz Mikielewicz for the project entitled "Co-organization of 14th European Turbomachinery Conference ETC-14, Gdańsk, 12-16 April 2021".
The project will be implemented under the POB EkoTech center.

Six projects promoting Gdańsk University of Technology among high school students received funding under the URANIUM program
In the completed call, 11 applications were submitted, of which the following projects received funding:

Pioneer brain surgery with the participation of Michał Kucewicz, PhD from Gdańsk Tech
The research carried out by PhD Michał Kucewicz and his participation in the complicated operation were possible thanks to the First Team project of the Foundation for Polish Science, implemented as part of the cooperation of the Brain and Mind Electrophysiology Laboratory (operating within the Department of Multimedia Systems FETI, under the aegis of the BioTechMed Gdańsk Tech Center), Mayo Clinic medical center (Rochester, USA) and the Medical University of Silesian Piasts in Wrocław.
Diploma of the Year awarded to a graduate of FTIMS
MSc. Patryk Błaszczak, a graduate of the Faculty of Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics in the field of Nanotechnology, completed his master's thesis under the supervision of dr hab. Eng. Beata Bochentyn from the Department of Solid State Physics, implementing a grant project from the National Science Center.
Metals 2020 Outstanding Reviewer Award to Aleksandra Świerczyńska, PhD Eng.
Aleksandra Świerczyńska, PhD Eng., from the Welding Engineering Group of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Shipbuilding, was among the top five reviewers awarded the 2020 Outstanding Reviewer Award by the editors of the journal Metals, out of approximately 4,200 reviewers actively working for the journal. The award is given in recognition of commitment to peer review: high quality and timely reviews of scientific articles.

An agreement between universities and pharmacists
The letter of intent was officially signed on 4 March at the Medical University of Gdańsk. Gdańsk University of Technology was represented by Prof. PhD, DSc, Eng. The Fahrenheit University Association - a joint IT strategy for university management
The agreement signed by prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk University of Technology and prof. Piotr Stepnowski, rector of the University of Gdańsk, covers the joint definition and development of an IT model for university management along with the construction of appropriate IT tools, which at the same time meet the standards of compatibility with IT elements of other cooperating and supervising units.
