Research position for a Mathematician from Ukraine

We offer a full-time research position in the project "Challenges of low-dimensional dynamics in hybrid neuron models", founded by National Science Centre (Poland) and conducted at the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics of Gdańsk University of Technology. The position is up to 6 months with salary around 5.000 PLN/month net.

Damian Głowienka PhD, Eng. and Michał Bartmański PhD, Eng. from Gdańsk University of Technology are among the winners of the awards for young scientists for outstanding scientific achievements, awarded by the Gdańsk Scientific Society and the Mayor of the City of Gdańsk.

Authors who are under 35 years of age and whose independent scientific or team works have been completed or published by the end of 2021 could apply for the award. Such fields as social sciences and humanities, biological and medical sciences, mathematical-physical-chemical sciences, technical sciences and earth sciences were assessed.

Honorable Mention and Prize "Perspektywy Medycyny" for prof. Andrzej Czyżewski

Prof. Andrzej Czyżewski
CyberRadar - an invention constructed by prof. Andrzej Czyżewski, head of the team of the Department of Multimedia Systems FETI Gdańsk Tech, was awarded during the 3rd Congress "Health of Poles" in the competition "Perspektywy Medycyny". Prof. Czyżewski also received an award for lifetime scientific activity for the development of medicine.

During the 3rd "Health of Poles" Congress at the Marriott Hotel in Warsaw, the winners of the "Perspektywy Medycyny" competition were announced. The aim of the plebiscite is to promote experts, leaders and teams that contribute to raising the level of Polish medicine, supporting positive changes in health care in Poland, improving the quality of medical care, and promoting pro-health attitudes.

Call for proposals for the 1st edition of the Cuprum Supporting Research Team Building in Emerging Areas program has been extended to 31.05.22

Cuprum
The aim of the Program is to increase and enrich the scientific potential of PG by establishing new research teams led by PG scientists conducting research in the discipline of architecture and urban planning or in the field of social sciences, with the participation of foreign scientists. Within the Program it is possible to obtain a university grant for financing the costs of formation and functioning of a new research team in Gdańsk Tech in the initial period of its activity.
Budget and project implementation conditions

Project budget planned in the application cannot exceed PLN 300 000 gross.
The project implementation period can be from 3 to 12 months.

Costs may include, among others:

Open lecture: "War - difficult time, difficult emotions"

On Wednesday, April 20 at 2:30 pm in the European Solidarity Center in Gdańsk, there will be an open lecture entitled "War - difficult time, difficult emotions".

The local government of the Pomorskie Voivodeship and the Association of Social Prevention Practitioners invite to the lecture organized as part of the "Study in Pomorskie" project.

The meeting will be held in room no. 4 (3rd floor) in the European Solidarity Center at ul. Plac Solidarności 1 in Gdańsk.

The lecture is especially aimed at current and future students from Ukraine.

Admission to the event is free.

The lecture will be held in Ukrainian.
