Web of Science continues to support improved ways for research to demonstrate real world impact. The inclusion of new data, metrics and connections permit linking the impact of research publications on the wider society and innovation by incorporating citations from policies and patents. Web of Science Researcher Profiles and Web of Science records now include new metrics and data to enable research producers to provide evidence of the wider impact of research.

International Relations Office opens an Intercultural Library at Welcome Office

International Relations Office has launched an Intercultural Library at Welcome Office! This initiative is part of the "Internationalization of Gdańsk University of Technology" project, funded by the Welcome to Poland program.

The library’s collection includes 30 books in Polish and English, covering topics such as language barriers, cultural differences, and stereotypes.

The library is open during Welcome Office hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM.

25th Edition of the “Polityka” Science Awards

From March 26 to June 13, 2025, the Polityka Weekly Foundation is accepting applications from young researchers for its scholarship program — the 25th edition of the “Polityka” Science Awards. The list of 15 finalists will be published in Polityka on September 17, and the winners will be announced in October 2025.

The Polityka Weekly Foundation is looking for young scientists who, within the past two years, have made significant progress in their academic careers — by completing a PhD, publishing an important article, launching a major research project, forming a research team, or assuming a key position at a scientific institution. The competition is held in five fields: technical sciences, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and life sciences.

Call for applications for the Titanium program (until 20.04)

Technology Transfer Office invites researchers, PhD students and Gdańsk Tech students to apply for funding from the Titanium Program.

The main objectives of the Titanium Supporting International Patent Applications program are the implementation of mechanisms for the identification and protection of intellectual property on an international scale of valuable inventions developed at Gdańsk University of Technology.

Co-financing may be granted only for activities concerning inventions to which the University will be entitled - in whole or in part - to property rights, and the University is not subject to restrictions on the commercial use of the invention.
