Baltic Nuclear Energy Forum
Among the members of the Scientific Committee for the conference will be the Deputy Director of the Nuclear Energy Center at Gdańsk University of Technology and the Rector's Plenipotentiary for Nuclear Energy at Gdańsk University of Technology, PhD Eng. Marcin Jaskólski.
The aim of the Baltic Nuclear Energy Forum is to establish a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience around innovative solutions in nuclear energy. The conference strives to create new perspectives and develop partnerships, especially in the Baltic Sea region.
Luminescence properties of glasses and glass-ceramics
Karolina Milewska wrote her doctoral dissertation, entitled “Synthesis, structure and luminescence properties of borate-bismuth glasses and glass-ceramics doped with rare earth ions,” in the field of materials engineering. The doctoral dissertation supervisor is Prof. Barbara Kościelska and the reviewers are Prof. Manuela Reben (AGH University in Cracow), Prof. Wojciech Pisarski (University of Silesia in Katowice) and Prof. Tomasz Pietrzak (Warsaw University of Technology).

Open Access Week 2024
International Open Access Week is celebrated all around the world each year. People and groups who support Open Access, as part of the Open Science movement, will celebrate and hold events. This year's theme is "Community over Commercialization," continuing from 2023.

In order to meet the needs of students, the Scholarship Committee will extend its office hours from 17 to 21 October 2024.
Office hours of the Committee:
17 October 2024 (Thursday) - 11:00-18:00 (break 14:00-14:30);
18 October 2024 (Friday) - 9:00-18:00 (break 13:00-13:30);
21 October 2024 (Monday) - 9:00-18:00 (break 13:00-13:30).
There will be no telephone service on the above days.

They are enriched with active ingredients such as vitamins, minerals, dietary fibre, polyunsaturated fatty acids, probiotics, prebiotics, amino acids, peptides or antioxidants, which support health and may contribute to reducing the risk of developing civilisation diseases.
Facilities for parents across the Gdańsk University of Technology campus
Among the facilities offered to parents and babysitters, Gdańsk University of Technology has family rooms located in the buildings of the faculties: Electrical and Control Engineering and Chemistry, as well as a room for feeding and changing babies at the Faculty of Management and Economics.
Furthermore, 21 baby and toddler changing stations have been installed in 17 buildings across the Campus.
