"TEACH AND TALK LIKE YOU WALK – Towards success in communicating and teaching internationally" training, delivered at the University of A Coruña, is a five-day training program preceded and followed by a virtual component. Its aim is to address challenges in intercultural communication, as well as teaching-learning practices in multicultural settings.
This environmentally friendly solution allows us to reduce the use of disposable envelopes and limit the production of waste - each copy of the Eco-Envelope can be used up to 12 times. All you have to do is cross out the previous sender, fill in the new data and pass the envelope on.
The event, which will take place between 1-7 September, is organized by Gdańsk Branch of the Polish Physical Society, the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics of Gdańsk University of Technology and the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science of the University of Gdańsk.
The Doctoral Summer School "Advances in Functional Materials" organized by the Advanced Materials Center Gdańsk Tech within the SPINNAKER program has been finished on 25.08.2023. The school graduated 45 students from 21 countries. CMP would like to thank the attendees for their active participation, the lecturers for their inspiring lectures, the co-chairs Prof. Justyna Łuczak and Prof. Tomasz Klimczuk for preparing and running the school program, and the project manager Dr. Justyna Szostak for its organization.
The offer is directed, among others, to PhD students pursuing projects in disciplines such as Earth and Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Mining and Energy, Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Forestry Sciences, Agriculture and Horticulture, Socio-Economic Geography and Spatial Management, Architecture and Urban Planning, and Biotechnology.
In 2022, Gdańsk University of Technology joined the ENHANCE Alliance - an association of 10 European technical universities. Thanks to the presence at ENHANCE, students and employees of Gdańsk Tech have the opportunity to participate in staff weeks, winter and summer schools, seminars and other interesting events on various topics. The next such an event will be organized by RWTH Aachen University (Germany) in October.
Aleksandra Laska - second graduate to complete the Doctoral School of Gdańsk University of Technology in the new doctoral education system, scientifically affiliated with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology began her training in the a.y. 2019/2020, under the supervision of prof. Marek Szkodo from the Institute of Manufacturing and Materials Technology.
As part of the Early Career Researcher Day, a general lecture on science issues: "What have I been taught by talking about science for 15 years?" by Dawid Myśliwiec of "Naukowy Bełkot" is to be presented. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions that will be answered by Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of Gdańsk Tech. Simultaneously, during the event, scientific dating will be an occasion to exchange knowledge and experience as well as to establish scientific cooperation.
