E-TECH (Comprehensive Project for Distance Teaching Skills and Multimedia Resources for Technical Universities in Europe) is being conducted by the consortium of GUT Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology (project leader), FH Joanneum GMBH Graz, Austria and Universita Politecnica Della Marche, Ancona, Italy, within the program Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership for digital education in higer education sector.

Events

13 - 15 October 2022 - E-TECH workshop aimed to showcase the work and ideas carried out by partners to increase the efficiency of online teaching", Ancona, Italy

The Multiplier Event of the ETECH project targeted academic teachers, e-learning practitioners, experts and all stakeholder in the Higher Education Sector. The event was held in the context of the #ErasmusDays 2022, that took place on the 13, 14 and 15th of October 2022 throughout Europe and also the world.

Products

Within E-TECH project, the members of the consortium will create products allowing academics to easily face the challenges associated with e-learning or blended learning conducted at technical universities.

Prof. Janusz Rachoń becomes a member of the Historical and Program Board of the ESC

prof. Janusz Rachoń
Prof. Janusz Rachoń, rector of Gdańsk University of Technology in 2002-2008 and senator of the Republic of Poland of the 7th term, was appointed by Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, President of Gdańsk, to the Historical and Program Board of the European Solidarity Center for the term 2021-2025.  

The Historical and Program Board of the ESC appointed prof. Janusz Rachoń "with gratitude for taking up the social mission of keeping the Solidarity movement attractive and up-to-date, cherishing the memory of this peaceful revolution as the founding myth of common Europe, making Solidarity a source of inspiration and hope".

Predatory journals

This is an unethical business model of some scientific publishers. In this type of publishing house the process of reviewing articles is only simulated, because they usually publish all submitted and paid works. These publishers put their own profit above the ethics of scientific research and the rules of publishing results, which is why they most often publish articles for a fee in the so-called "Gold Open Access".
