Once again, guests from the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) visited Gdańsk Tech in order to exchange experiences and good practices regarding the management of project, finance and human capital as well as the implementation of the HR4R Strategy at universities.

A series of meetings with Gdańsk Tech employees from various administration offices were held. The university participants were from: Quality Management Office, Projects Office, Public Procurement Office, International Relations Office, Personnel Department, Office of Open Gdańsk Tech, IT Services Center and Office of Integrated Development Program of Gdańsk Tech.

For some time now, we have witnessed a dynamic development of online education and teaching through a variety of e-learning courses. This was undoubtedly due to the unexpected pandemic and the associated obligation of social isolation. All teachers, including academics, had to quickly adapt to the new working conditions. Overnight, there was a need to provide comprehensive technical and methodological support in the field of effective teaching via the Internet.

For this reason, scientists from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology in cooperation with the Center for Innovative Teaching at Gdańsk Tech have developed the concept of the E-TECH project "Comprehensive project for distance teaching skills and multimedia resources for technical universities in Europe", which will help teachers all over Europe to cope with the aforementioned challenges.

Meeting of the Council of Rectors of the Pomerania Voivodeship was held on 23 September at Gdańsk University of Technology with the chairmen of the University Councils. The main topic of the meeting were EU funds in the new programming period and the possibility of receiving subsidies by universities.  

The guests of the meeting were representatives of the Marshal's Office - Adam Mikołajczyk, director of the Department of Regional and Spatial Development, Stanisław Szultka, director of the Department of Economic Development, Ludwik Szakiel, his deputy, and Małgorzata Sobolew from the Department of Regional and Spatial Development. The meeting was also attended by prof. Adriana Zaleska-Medynska, director of the Daniel Fahrenheit Union of Universities in Gdańsk.

History and Museum Collections Section

History and Museum Collections Section was established in the mid-1980s as the Gdańsk Tech History Laboratory. The main goal of its activity is acquiring, collecting, securing and developing all material traces of the establishment and activity of Gdańsk University of Technology from 1904 to the present day, as the oldest and key scientific center of Northern Poland.
