Gdańsk Tech opens a new field of study together with the Gdynia Maritime University

On Friday, 25 June Gdańsk University of Technology and the Gdynia Maritime University concluded an agreement on the creation of an inter-university second-cycle study program: Offshore Wind Energy.

Gdańsk University of Technology, as a leading scientific and research center in the field of ocean engineering in Poland, meets market trends and focuses on even better and more effective expansion of the knowledge and competences of its students and scientists. Together with the partner center - Gdynia Maritime University - it will create an innovative, inter-university field of study educating experts in the field of offshore wind energy.

Mechanical section

The mechanical section, consisting of employees in the hydraulic, heating, mechanical, locksmith, glass, ventilation and air conditioning and firefighting industries, carries out tasks including in particular:

Electrical section

The electrical section deals with the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of medium and low voltage electrical and power networks and equipment, including:

  • determining the technical conditions for connecting new and refurbished electrical installations to the network, settling the documentation of electrical installations and external networks on the GUT premises,

  • drawing up plans for inspection and overhaul of used power networks and devices
