Webinar: Gender Equality Plans - a new criterion in Horizon Europe
Biuro NCBR w Brukseli działające w partnerstwie z Business & Science Poland oraz Krajowy Punkt Kontaktowy PB UE zapraszają do udziału w webinarze „Gender Equality Plans - a new criterion in Horizon Europe”, który odbędzie się 1 lipca (wtorek) w godz. 10.00 - 12.30.
Rada Naukowa Europejskiej Rady ds. Badań Naukowych (ERC) przyjęła Plan Równości Płci – Gender Equality Plan 2021-2027. Opracowanie przez instytucje publiczne planu równości płci będzie wymogiem formalnym przy wnioskowaniu o granty z Horyzontu Europa.
Zapraszamy wszystkich przedstawicieli nauki i biznesu do udziału wydarzeniu mającym za cel przybliżenie powyższej tematyki.
Spotkanie w całości odbędzie się w języku angielskim.

NCBR Office in Brussels – Business & Science Poland and National Contact Point in Poland invite you to a webinar Gender Equality Plans - a new criterion in Horizon Europe which will take place on 1 July at 10h00 – 12h30.
With Horizon Europe, the European Commission reaffirms its commitment to gender equality in research and innovation. The legal base sets gender equality as a crosscutting priority and establishes strengthened provisions. As there are new provisions and requirements introduced for calls with deadlines from 2022 onwards, gender equality plans will become part of the eligibility criteria for public bodies, research organisations and higher education establishments, and integrating the gender dimension into research and innovation content becomes a requirement.
Specific funding will be dedicated to gender research, developing inclusive gender equality policies in support of the new European Research Area, and empowering women innovators. The goal is to improve the European research and innovation system, create gender-equal working environments and better integrate the gender dimension in projects to improve research quality as well as the relevance to society of the knowledge, technologies and innovations produced.
Dr Anne Pepin, Senior Policy Officer from Democracy & European Values – Gender Sector in Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission will provide a keynote speech. Afterwards, there will be two panel sessions concerning best practices towards gender equality. In the first session the speakers will represent various Polish universities and research institutions whereas in the second session the representatives of Lithuanian, German and Flemish universities will share their experience in the field of Gender Equality Plans. The webinar will be followed by a Q&A session.
