Clarivate (formerly Thomson Reuters) is a global set of the most cited scientists that is updated annually. It is compiled based on an analysis of the number of citations, taking into account only highly cited articles (in the highest 1% citations in a given field and year of publication) published in journals indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection in the last eleven years (in this case, it is 2009-2019).
