Graduates from the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering are the winners of the Competition for the best diploma thesis of the Pomeranian FSNT NOT Council in Gdańsk (2019 edition)

On the 10th of March 2020, during the Pomeranian Quality Award Gala, the winners of the second edition of the Competition for the Best Master's and Engineering Diploma Thesis in the Technical Sciences Area of ​​the Pomeranian Council of the Federation of Scientific and Technical Associations of the Supreme Technical Organization in Gdańsk were announced. The graduates of the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering were very successful!

Golden Engineer 2019

One of this year's winners of the 26th edition of the plebiscite for the title of Golden Engineer of Przegląd Techniczny (Technical Review) was MSc Janusz Ochociński, a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering from 1981. Mr. Janusz Ochociński is currently the operational director at the international company Guala Closter DGS Poland in Włocławek.

Wolves Summit is looking for volunteers

Wolves Summit is an event connecting startups, technology companies, investors and corporations from around the world. The 11th edition of this event will be held on March 24-25 at the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw.

EXAMS - causes fear among students. We know how hard it is to get through a exams session sometimes, we are students too, so we are here to help!

Studying at home is too distracting. Studying in a dorm room can be hard, especially when others celebrate their exam successes (or melt their exam failures).

You don't have to put up with it!

At each Faculty, during the exams session, there are specially prepared places for you to study together or independently, until 10 pm!
And if you live in a dormitory and prefer to study there, special rooms are organized until midnight!

GUT Architect is a laureate of the competition for a diploma thesis on housing issues

PhD thesis of PhD, Eng., Arch. Weronika Mazurkiewicz from the Department of Urban and Regional Planning of the Faculty of Architecture was awarded in the competition for the best thesis devoted to housing issues entitled "URS - Users and Residents Space" organized by PFR Nieruchomości S.A. in partnership with the PFR Foundation and the Bęc Zmiana publishing house. Among the winners of the competition was also a GUT graduate Aleksandra Gordowy.

Emotions after the 28th Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity are slowly falling, and we wanted to show off how much the students of the Gdańsk University of Technology are doing to support charity!

During the 28th Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, we cooperated with the staff No. 499, which collected over PLN 99,855.96 in total, in which our students collected over PLN 8,731.62!

However, this is not the only charity event in which students took part. Faculty Student Councils also worked like Santa's elves in December!

1st prize in the competition for the best engineering project and thesis in the field of welding "Diamonds PTS"

Katarzyna Mielnicka received the first prize in the competition for the best engineering project and thesis in the field of welding "Diamenty PTS" organized by the Polish Welding Society. Adrian Wolski received the award (industrial internship funded by IPG Photonics Ltd.

Mariusz Szkoda was among the twelve best young scientists from all over Poland who received the Prime Minister's Award for a distinguished doctoral dissertation and scientific activity in 2018. Doctoral dissertation ‘Oxide layers TiO2 and MoO3 as visible photoanodes’ was submitted for the prize by Professor Jacek Namieśnik, rector of Gdańsk University of Technology in 2016-2019.
