Polish–Norwegian cooperation within ENHANCE+
On 17 April, the representatives of Gdańsk University of Technology met with Forskerforbundet members – the largest trade union in Norway. The aim of the meeting was to involve the local branch of the union operating at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in the activities of Gdańsk Tech related to employee development within the scope of ENHANCE+ project.

Forskerforbundet – The Norwegian Association of Researchers (NAR) is the largest trade union in Norway, uniting 25 000 employees in the higher education and research sectors, public administration, cultural institutions and health care facilities. The union has 280 local branches, and its members include not only active but also retired employees and students. More than 50% of mmbers are women.

Industrial Doctoral School

Recruitment to the Industrial Doctoral School has started as part of the 8th edition of the "Implementation Doctorate" program, which will last until May 8, 2024.

The candidate evaluation procedure consists of two stages:

  • Stage I (recruitment to the implementation doctoral school),
  • Stage II (recruitment for the Program).

Candidates who successfully pass the first stage (formal assessment and interview) will be registered by the University for the Program.

Standard admission to the Doctoral School at Gdańsk Tech

Standard admission to the Doctoral School at Gdańsk University of Technology has started. It is conducted jointly with two institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Gdańsk - the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery and the Institute of Hydro-Engineering, which will be conducted under the Admissions Rules issued by Resolution of the Senate No. 413/2023/XXV dated November 22, 2023.

Supporting mobility abroad for the best doctoral students – NAWA internships

We would like to inform you about the launch internship programme for the best doctoral students of our Doctoral School.

The competition offers 9 outgoing mobility grants to support internships abroad. All supported internships must start no earlier than July 1st, 2024 and end no later than December 31st, 2024. The minimum number of points to qualify for the mobility is 14 out of a possible 24 (60%). The results will be announced on June 4th, 2024.

Sebastian Dziedziewicz - graduate of the Doctoral School at Gdańsk University of Technology, scientifically affiliated with the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics, began his training in the a.y. 2019/2020, under the supervision of prof. Rafał Lech from the Department of Microwave and Antenna Engineering.
