Open academic textbooks at your fingertips

Webinar organised by the Gdańsk Tech Library as part of Open Education Week, will be dedicated to free academic textbooks that can be found on the Internet, legally downloaded and used during classes at the university.

The training will be online via the MS Teams platform and on-site in the library’s multimedia room in the main building of Gdańsk Tech University. To participate in the meeting, simply click the link or come to the multimedia room. The training will be conducted in English at 1130. It will take approximately 20 minutes.

The Fahrenheit Union of Universities in Gdańsk - research apparatus search engine

The Fahrenheit Union of Universities in Gdańsk encourages the use of the search engine for research equipment, which was developed under the grant project entitled Supporting University Consolidation Processes. The database enables joint management of research infrastructure of member universities, which results in facilitating research projects and works.

Dear PhD Candidates

We would like to inform you that on February 22, 2024, the Regulation of the Minister of Science dated February 15, 2024, amending the regulation on the amount of the minimum monthly basic salary in a public university (in Polish only) came into force, with effect from January 1, 2024.

In March you will receive an increased scholarship and compensation for January and February.

Scholarships for the summer semester 2023/2024

From February 22 to March 4, 2024, students can apply for scholarships for the summer semester.

Applying for a scholarship in mainly concerns:
- second-cycle students who want to apply for the rector's scholarship for the summer semester (this benefit is awarded every semester)
- newly admitted second-cycle students applying for a maintenance scholarship or a disability scholarship.

Launch of the prestigious Horizon Europe PLAN-B research grant

Gdańsk University of Technology has become an international Consortium partner in a new EU-HORIZON funded project called PLAN-B (The Path towards addressing adverse impacts of Light and Noise pollution on terrestrial Biodiversity and ecosystems).

This four-year multidisciplinary research, coordinated by the University of Ghent, launched in January 2024.

Gdańsk University of Technology to establish cooperation with Babcock International

On 13 February representatives of Gdańsk University of Technology met with Babcock International, a defense and security company. The meeting revolved around talent acquisition, knowledge and know-how exchange, and joint research.

Among the vast portfolio of cooperation partners, apart from the government and the Royal Navy of the United Kingdom, Babcock International also operates outside Britain, in Australia, Asia, Canada, France and the Republic of South Africa. The company offers their clients within marine, land, aviation and nuclear sectors, technical support and training, as well as products and defense equipment - e.g. ships and submarine components.
