Gdańsk Tech in the forefront of Polish universities in THE Impact 2023 ranking

The Impact
Once again Gdańsk University of Technology is among the top universities in Poland in the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking 2023. It is the only global ranking based on the Sustainable Development Goals created by the United Nations. 

In the latest ranking, Gdańsk Tech was classified in the overall ranking and in eleven specific Sustainable Development Goals. In the general classification, last year’s position in the range of 601-800 was maintained, what means the 4th-8th place in Poland.

Preventive examinations for cardiovascular diseases at Gdańsk Tech

Do you want to learn how to protect yourself against vascular diseases? Together with the University Clinical Center, we are opening a center for preventive examinations of cardiovascular diseases.

From 14 June until further notice, it will be possible to perform preventive examinations for cardiovascular diseases in the Hydromechanics building as part of the KORDIAN program of the Ministry of Health. The point will be open from 7:00 to 13:00 in room B.0.06 - entrance from the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering building.

The Institute of Nanotechnology and Materials Engineering invites to apply for a PhD candidate position in the scientific project entitled ‘Tuning CEria-based COMpounds as effective catalyst for Electrochemical Cells’.

The aim of this PhD project is to investigate the influence of double doping on the electrochemical activity of ceria-based compounds that can act as catalysts for fuel electrodes in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC)/Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells (SOEC).

Krawczyk
Prof. Henryk Krawczyk, director of the TASK IT Center, received the Primum Cooperatio award. This distinction is awarded by the Pomeranian Employers organization to scientists who have proven by their actions that effective cooperation between both environments is possible, bringing tangible benefits to the economy and science.

The candidacy of prof. Henryk Krawczyk was submitted by prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk University of Technology.
