The international situation and the Erasmus+ program

Due to numerous inquiries from foreign partner universities, Gdańsk University of Technology authorities ensure that the situation related to Russia's attack on Ukraine does not affect the university's activities in the field of international cooperation under the Erasmus+ program. Mobility takes place according to the current rules, and foreign employees and students coming to Poland can feel safe.

The Polish authorities unequivocally and categorically condemned the armed attack by Russia on Ukraine. It was expressed in the position of the President of the Republic of Poland and in the announcements published by the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Polish government, as well as Polish citizens, support the Ukrainian nation in these tragic days.

Meeting of University representatives with the Ukrainian students

Meeting
Vice-Rectors and employees of the International Relations Office, and the representatives of the Student Government met with Ukrainian students of Gdańsk University of Technology. The students were assured of the support and help they can obtain from the entire academic society in view of the war in their country.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Janusz Nieznański, Vice-Rector for internationalization and Innovation, Prof. Marek Dzida, Vice-Rector for education, Anna Modrzejewska, head of IRO, Julia Bobrowska from IRO, who supervises international students, and Jakub Persjanow, chairman of the SG.

Call for 3rd edition of Actinium Supporting Most Talented Candidates (02.03 -01.04.2022)

The Actinium Supporting Most Talented Candidates program is an element of the IDUB project aimed at improving the quality of education of students and PhD students, especially in fields and scientific disciplines related to the university's priority research areas (PRA). The programme aims at financing scholarships for particularly gifted students, based on their achievements at the previous educational level, starting their full-time I or II degree studies at the Gdansk University of Technology.

The call for proposals will run from 2.03-1.04.2022.

In October 2021, the results of the 5th Baku International Architecture Award, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Union of Architects of Azerbaijan (AMI) with the support of the International Union of Architects (UIA) were announced.The competition takes place every 2 years, and this year, 193 applications from 38 countries all over the world were submitted. An honorary jury appointed by the International Union of Architects (UIA) selected winners in 7 categories.

"Aid for Ukraine" – 3X3 charity camp

Basketball
On Saturday, March 5, there will be a 3x3 basketball camp. It is an event for children and their parents. The organizer of the event is the Academic Sports Centre of Gdańsk University of Technology. Free entry!

The event will be attended by the Tokyo Olympics Athletes, LOTTO TEAM players and invited guests! Children will have the opportunity to participate in training sessions with trainers.
