The launch of Erasmus+InnHUB in Gdańsk. Development of innovation

Erasmus plus building
Erasmus+ InnHUb is a project aimed at supporting the development of innovation in northern Poland. On 5th September, the representatives of Pomeranian universities, authorities of Gdańsk and the Foundation for the Development of the Education System met at the Library of the University of Gdańsk to launch the new center.

The cooperation agreement with InnHUB Erasmus+ Gdańsk was signed on 5th September by the representatives of 12 Pomeranian universities: the University of Gdańsk, Gdańsk University of Technology, the Medical University of Gdańsk, the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, Gdynia Maritime University, Naval Academy, Gdańsk University of Physical Education and Sport, Pomeranian Academy, the Academy of Applied Sciences (State Higher Vocational School) in Elbląg

Gdańsk Tech Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics invites students and doctoral students to join QUEUE I summer school, which will start on September 26th. Applications are accepted until Sunday, September 11th. The number of places is limited.

As part of the "ScienceApp" project, the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics prepared a series of eight thematic summer schools for 1st and 2nd-degree students and PhD students from abroad. As part of the next recruitment, which will last until September 11th, interested students and doctoral students can register for the QUEUE I summer school, which will start on September 26th.

Chapter XXXVIII of Focus on Open Science: PARIS

For the 38th chapter, we partnered with the Paris Nanterre University. A reputable line-up of speakers will share experiences on the implementation of Open Science strategies. The event will be taking place virtually on September 27, 2022 at 1000.

This event is supported by UCL´s (University College London) Global Engagement Office and the UCL Office for Open Science, with technical support by Scientific Knowledge Services.

Almost one million zlotys for new activities of the Center for Innovative Teaching

The Center for Innovative Teaching received funding for its activities under the project "Teaching Excellence at universities" of the Ministry of Education and Science from POWER funds. The CIT project was on the third position in the MES ranking list among 52 applications qualified for co-financing.

 "Teaching Excellence at universities" is a project of MES, the aim of which is to support organizational changes and increase the competences of staff in the higher education system.

The project will contribute to the implementation of reforms at universities in the field of management of the didactic process, education quality management, as well as the development of teaching, teaching and research staff or staff supporting the teaching process.

A new scholarship program for girls in STEM

The Perspektywy Education Foundation and Intel Corporation - as part of many years of cooperation to increase the participation of women in the new technology industry, are starting a new scholarship program for girls in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).

The "New Technologies for Women - Ukraine" scholarship program is aimed at Ukrainian students, Ph.D. students, and graduates of secondary schools (starting technical studies in autumn 2022) who are in a difficult financial / life situation due to the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Quantum and Molecules I (QUEUE I) Summer School at Gdańsk Tech in September

Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics of Gdańsk Tech invites international students to the next summer school - Quantum and Molecules I (QUEUE I), organized within the ScienceApp project. The event is held between 26th and 30th of September 2022. 

QUEUE I is perfect for all young scientists and students who wish to learn the basics and the advances in quantum ideas and methodologies, along with their practical applications in chemistry, electrochemistry, and material sciences.
