Joint Research on Submarine Operations in Ice Conditions

Gdańsk University of Technology and Hanwha Ocean have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) encompassing research collaboration in the field of safety and operational efficiency of submarines in ice-covered waters. The document was signed during this year’s International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce.

Strengthening our collaboration with Hanwha Ocean opens up new perspectives in Arctic research and maritime technologies. Our expertise in marine engineering will allow us to make a significant contribution to this international research initiative - stated Professor Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of Gdańsk University of Technology.

Young Researchers Forum - Oxford Debate (24.10.2025)

The Young Researchers Office and Team of Gdańsk University of Technology cordially invite young researchers, including PhD candidates, to an Oxford-style debate on AI, which will take place on 24 October 2025 in the Creative Room of the Hydromechanics Building, Gdańsk Tech.

The Young Researchers’ Forum is a unique space created with young researchers in mind – a place where your voice truly matters. It is an opportunity to share insights, discuss important and current issues, while also developing public speaking skills and building new connections in the academic community.

Call for Applications for International Mobilities within the PROM Project – Last Places Available for PhD Students

The International Relations Office has launched the fourth call for applications for international mobilities within the PROM project. There are 14 places available for doctoral candidates at Gdańsk University of Technology.
Within the project, funding is available for:
  • participation in summer and winter schools (on-site or hybrid),
  • attendance at international conferences,
  • stays at partner universities to conduct research or collect materials for a doctoral dissertation,
  • participation in study visits.
Application deadlines:
  • September 3–17, 2025 – application submission period,
  • by October 2, 2025 – announcement of results.

On September 4th, we sent individual links to two surveys to your university e-mails:

  • evaluation of the Doctoral School office,
  • evaluation of administration and infrastructure.

Who can take part: active PhD students of years I–VI pursuing PhD training at the School.
Deadline: The surveys can be filled out until September 14th, 23:59.

4th Call for Applications – The Last Places Available in the PROM Project for International Mobilities!

The International Relations Office invites students, doctoral candidates, and staff of Gdańsk Tech to participate in the fourth call for international mobilities within the PROM project. This is the final chance to submit your application!

After recalculating the funds used so far under the project, the International Relations Office has decided to launch the last, fourth call for participation in PROM. The final pool of available mobility spots includes:

  • 3 staff mobilities;

  • 3 student mobilities;

  • 14 doctoral mobilities.

From the remaining funds, it will no longer be possible to obtain reimbursement for conference fees, summer school tuition, etc.
