Inaugural meeting of the "Universities of the Future" project at Gdańsk University of Technology

Sixteen students have begun preparations for the next stage of the “Universities of the Future” project. During the first formal meeting, participants were introduced to the main objectives and challenges of the upcoming phase, as well as to their academic mentors. The event was officially opened by the project leader – Vice-Rector for Education, Dr. Eng. Mariusz Kaczmarek, Professor at Gdańsk University of Technology – who encouraged the students to work diligently and wished them success in launching startups and pursuing other initiatives.

The inaugural meeting for the next phase of the “Universities of the Future” project took place on May 13. Attending were students whose 10 innovative projects qualified for the next stage of development, along with members of the Project Team. The students now face several challenges, including:

The Forum of Young Diplomats, the Student Scientific Circle of International Relations at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, the Student Parliament of the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and the Student and Cadet Government of the National Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine have the honor of inviting you to participate in the International Scientific Conference entitled "Security and Cooperation in Europe."

Conference Objectives:

The aim of the conference is to analyze current threats and challenges to European security, foster international scientific cooperation, and exchange experiences in crisis management and conflict prevention mechanisms.

9th Erasmus Staff Training Week at the Gdańsk Tech Library

The 9th Erasmus Staff Training Week will take place next week – a 5-day training for librarians from foreign academic centres organised as part of the Erasmus+ programme. This year staff week’s theme is the university library’s intellectual capital. The training will be attended by staff from academic libraries from Croatia, the Czech Republic, Greece, Spain, Latvia, Germany, Romania and Turkey.

Lab 04 Initiative: Human-Oriented Artificial Intelligence

As part of the work of the ENHANCE Alliance, the Lab 04 Human-Oriented Artificial Intelligence initiative was established to support young researchers from the Alliance and partner institutions who are working in the field of AI.

The goals of the Lab 04 Human-Oriented Artificial Intelligence initiative are to:

  • Promote young researchers through international networking, thematic mentoring, and knowledge exchange with society,

  • Support the development of joint grant proposals,

  • Provide access to training in methods and skills related to transdisciplinary research, aiming to increase the societal and scientific impact of research,

WORKSHOP WEEK of the "Universities of the Future" Project

From May 5–9, 2025, a series of design workshops for participants of the "Universities of the Future" project took place in Ożarów Mazowiecki.

A total of 120 students from partner universities, who had qualified for the final stage of the project, took part in five workshops:

  1. Innovations in Science and Social Innovation

  2. Commercialization of Research Results

  3. Project Management

  4. Science Communication and Self-Presentation

  5. Pragmatics of Scientific Writing

The 30th Seminar of Advanced Materials Center

A guest invited by the Advanced Materials Center and the Hydrogen Technologies Center of Gdańsk Tech - Prof. Yevgeniy Naumovich from Institute of Power Engineering - National Research Institute, Poland will present a lecture entitled "Solid oxide cells: challenges and solution".

The Doctoral Students’ Self-government Council invites you to the second edition of Cultural Day @Gdansk Tech. This year’s event will take place on May 29, at 10:00 AM, in the green area near the Main Building, behind the Security Building, next to car park near Chemistry A and Nano A buildings.

1-year Intenship For International PhD Students

The Fahrenheit Universities are recruiting the international PhD students to the 4rd edition of the scholarship programme of the Mayor of Gdańsk. Within the programme, it is possible to enrol a scholarship holder for 12 months – this is an opportunity to expand the research team by another person and involve them in ongoing projects or initiate new ones.


Until June 15, doctoral students from abroad can submit applications and compete for a monthly paid scholarship combined with an internship at one of the universities forming the Fahrenheit Universities. Winners will also be provided with accommodation and reimbursement of travel expenses.

At the application stage they need to indicate the host university in which they are planning to continue their research as part of their doctoral dissertation and support the university during that time.
