Plastic waste tracking – water engineering for clean rivers

Researchers from Gdańsk University of Technology and the Polish Academy of Sciences will calculate the route of plastic waste and develop solutions to reduce the spread of plastic waste in inland waters and its release to the seas and oceans. A mathematical model will be developed at Gdańsk Tech, to indicate potential places of plastic accumulation in the coastal zone. The research is conducted, among others, in the Eco-Innovation Centre at Gdańsk University of Technology, one of the most modern facilities of this type in this part of Europe.

The International Relations Office invites employees, PhD students, and students to a meeting with Jagoda Ratajczak – a philologist, translator, and author of books, with whom we will discuss barriers to speaking in English. The event will take place on Thursday, February 27, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM in the conference room of the Hydromechanics building no. 11. Registration is required.

International Relations Office has published the results of the recruitment for the 1st edition of the PROM - short-term mobilities program. 

There were 61 applications received from outgoing PhD students, of which 16 were accepted by the Commission (No applications were received for incoming PhD students).

Results


The next recruitment for the PROM program is scheduled for the first half of March.
