Appointment of the Ombudswoman for the Rights of Doctoral Students

We would like to inform you that the Doctoral Students' Government (SDPG) has announced the appointment of dr hab. inż. Aleksandra Mielewczyk-Gryń as the Ombudswoman for the Rights of Doctoral Students, in accordance with §28 point 2 of the Regulations of the Doctoral School.

The Ombudswoman plays a crucial role in safeguarding the rights of doctoral students within the Entities Co-leading the Doctoral School. This position is dedicated to ensuring that doctoral students' rights are upheld and that their concerns are addressed with fairness and integrity.

Reaxys Webinar - Predictive Retrosynthesis tool

Reaxys Predictive Retrosynthesis is an AI-powered tool available in the Reaxys database that assists chemists in planning chemical synthesis.

Using a vast database of chemical reactions and AI algorithms, the tool analyzes the target chemical structure and suggests possible retrosynthetic pathways, i.e., ways to obtain it from simpler precursors.

This allows users to choose from different synthesis approaches, considering both known and predicted reactions.

New regulations for the periodic evaluation of academic teachers at Gdańsk Tech

The new regulations for the periodic evaluation of academic teachers, which introduce significant changes in the method of assessing the work of academic staff, was announced on 5 February 2025.

Work on the modifications to the previous regulations (No. 78/2021 of 21 December 2021), was carried out in the years 2021-2024 and included, among others, public consultations and changes in legal regulations.

The meeting of the International Scientific Effectiveness Board (ISEB)

The challenges of the IDUB project and preparations for the application in the second edition of the program in 2026 were the main topics of the meeting of the International Scientific Effectiveness Board (ISEB).

The meeting was attended remotely by the ISEB members: Prof. Francisco José Mora Mas, Chair of the Board (Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain), Prof. Roberto Zanino (Politecnico di Torino, Italy), Prof. Sławomir Smoleń (Hochschule Bremen, Germany), Prof. Mika Hannula (President and CEO, Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Finland) and Prof. Eugenijus Valatka (Rector, Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania). On the part of Gdańsk Tech, the meeting was attended by: Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of Gdańsk Tech, Prof.
