Team Research Project – Objectives

The objective of the Team Research Project is to conduct a process wherein students will verify a research hypothesis posed by the client. This project may require the creation of a product, such as an application or device, and conducting appropriate research, analyzing results, etc. If the university/client provides confidential information (including data), students will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement to protect the information shared.

Scholarships for outstanding young scientists

PhD
Aleksandra Kuryłowicz-Cudowska, PhD, Eng., Patrycja Makoś-Chełstowska, PhD, Eng., Szymon Dudziak, MSc, Eng., and Krzysztof Pyrchla, MSc, Eng., are among the scholarship holders of the Minister of Science.

The Minister of Science awarded scholarships to a total of 228 outstanding young scientists, including 32 doctoral students, representing 53 scientific and artistic disciplines. In this group there were four people from Gdańsk University of Technology. The scholarship amounts to PLN 5,390 per month and is awarded for a period of 36 months.

Another mural has appeared on the campus of our university. It was created by students of the Faculty of Architecture on the walls of the staircase of the Nanotechnology B building, under the supervision of Prof. Jan Buczkowski and Edyta Urwanowicz, PhD, from the Department of Visual Arts. It is part of a larger project aimed at introducing contemporary art into the spaces of the university campus.

The first such undertaking at Gdańsk University of Technology was a painting composition on the staircase in the Main Building (2011). In subsequent years, compositions were created in the elevator shaft (2019), a large-scale mural on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics (2022) and a painting in the hall and lecture hall at the Faculty of Management and Economics (2023).

Eleven creative projects designed to support particularly talented students engaging in research activities in topics related to priority research areas have received funding in the program for a total value of more than PLN 261,000.
