1st prize in the competition for the best engineering project and thesis in the field of welding "Diamonds PTS"

Employee of the Bonding Engineering Department, MSc. Adrian Wolski, together with the co-author, MSc, Eng. Katarzyna Mielnicka received the first prize in the competition for the best engineering project and thesis in the field of welding "Diamenty PTS" organized by the Polish Welding Society. Adrian Wolski received the award (industrial internship funded by IPG Photonics Ltd.

Six outstandingly talented young scientists from Gdańsk University of Technology are among the scholarship holders of the Minister of Science and Higher Education. Mariusz Szkoda was among the twelve best young scientists from all over Poland who received the Prime Minister's Award for a distinguished doctoral dissertation and scientific activity in 2018. Doctoral dissertation ‘Oxide layers TiO2 and MoO3 as visible photoanodes’ was submitted for the prize by Professor Jacek Namieśnik, rector of Gdańsk University of Technology in 2016-2019. On the 24th of July 2019, PhD Eng. Rafał Gawin, a graduate of the Gdańsk University of Technology and a former PhD student of the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering, was appointed President of the Energy Regulatory Office. The nomination on behalf of the Prime Minister was presented by Krzysztof Tchórzewski, Minister of Energy.
