Admissions to the Doctoral School for the AY 2024/2025

We would like to inform you that according to the admissions schedule* the standard admission for AY. 2024/2025 to the Doctoral School conducted jointly by the Gdańsk University of Technology (Gdańsk Tech) and the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Hydro-Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences will start on 22 April 2024 (Monday) and will end on 13 May 2024, at 9:00 AM

ENHANCE invites to the online workshops (January 23)

Gdańsk University of Technology, as a member of the ENHANCE Alliance, invites the university community to participate in online workshops dedicated to the topics of diversity, impact, and dissemination (Tuesday, January 23, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM).

In November 2022, Gdańsk University of Technology joined the ENHANCE Alliance, an alliance of the leading, European technical universities. A year later, a new project of the alliance, called ENHANCE+, was launched. The project is divided into 10 tasks, one of which is dedicated to diversity, impact, and dissemination (referred to as Work Package 10). 

AP300 - Meeting with a Representative from Westinghouse

On December 5, 2023, the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering at Gdańsk University of Technology will host Ms. Julie Gorgemans, a representative of Westinghouse Electric Company.

From 11:00 to 12:45 in auditorium E-1, there will be a lecture titled 'AP300 SMR: Going Small, Challenges and Opportunities.'

Students attending the lecture will have the opportunity to learn about the participation rules for the International Internship Program at Westinghouse Electric Company in the United States.

Gdańsk Tech strengthens cooperation with Dalian Minzu University

On November 24 Gdańsk University of Technology (Gdansk Tech) engaged in a productive meeting with representatives from Dalian Minzu University (China) to explore collaborative opportunities and strengthen ties. 

Led by Prof Nieznanski, Vice-Rector for Internationalization and innovation, Gdansk Tech delegation included Prof Christian Jungnickel, Rector's Representative for Cooperation with Asian Higher Education Institutions, as well as academic leaders Prof Agata Kot-Wasik (Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry) and Prof Marek Tobieszewski (Vice Dean of Science of the Faculty of Chemistry), Mrs Anna Modrzejewska, Director of the Internationalization Relations Office, and Mrs. Rong Li, Liaison of Asian Affairs.

Prof. Grzegorz Boczkaj among the most frequently cited scientists in the world

Grzegorz Boczkaj PhD, associate professor at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering was listed in this year's ranking of the most frequently cited scientists in the world - Highly Cited Researchers Top 1% (Clarivate). He is one of only six scientists representing Polish scientific institutions who were included in this list of world-leading researchers.

The list of Highly Cited Researchers, updated annually, includes scientists whose significant impact on their field of research is reflected in a particularly large number of citations by other authors of scientific publications. ​ The list includes the authors of many scientific articles that rank in the TOP 1% by citation for their fields and publication year according to Web of Science. This classification takes into account citations and publications from the past 11 years (in this case for the period 2012-2022). ​
