In order to recognize the situation, identify the target groups of the project recipients and their needs, numerous meetings and conversations were held with industry representatives, academic staff of the University itself and external scientific units, as well as employees of the University directly involved in establishing contacts with entrepreneurs and commercialization of research.
The main goal of the ‘Bridge of Knowledge’ project is to increase the digital availability, quality and usability of science, knowledge and technology resources of Gdańsk University of Technology and its cooperating units. This goal will be achieved due to the implementation of a number of specific objectives at the level of the University itself and in its relations with the environment, i.e.
The nature of the ‘Bridge of Knowledge’ project is to design and build a platform that integrates data from many databases (both Gdańsk University of Technology and other research units), which will increase the availability, consistency and the possibility of reusing their research, knowledge and technology resources.
The ‘Multidisciplinary Open Knowledge Transfer System - Bridge of Knowledge’ project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Digital Poland Operational Program for 2014-2020

The goal of the ‘Bridge of Knowledge’ project is to increase the availability, consistency and re-use of scientific resources. These resources will be made available to people of science, entrepreneurs and the public in an open, simple and transparent form. In other words, a bridge will be created connecting the community of researchers, business and society.
