NAWA STER scholarships for the best PhD students carrying out PhD projects in international cooperation - results

As of June 4, 2025, 11 scholarship applications were received, 7 of which were approved. Four applications were rejected - they did not contain substantive arguments that are taken into account by the regulations (publication with a supervisor, co-author from an institution/university in Europe, quartile, number of authors, IF).

As a result, the ranking list from June 9, 2025 looks like this:

Gdańsk University of Technology coordinates EIT-funded DIGIMPACT.EU project

The project “Digital transformation for university-born innovation and entrepreneurship” (DIGIMPACT.EU), coordinated by the Gdańsk University of Technology’s Department of Informatics in Management was awarded funding by the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT). The grant award is 1,340,000 EUR and the project is planned to last 25 months.

EIT is an integral part of the third pillar of Horizon Europe, i.e. Innovative Europe. With 3 billion EUR budget, EIT works to strengthen sustainable innovation ecosystems across Europe, support EU universities in integrating more entrepreneurial education, bring new solutions to global societal challenges to the market, etc.

EURAXESS Poland is operated within the framework of the National Agency for Academic Exchange. Its aim is to support international mobility and career development for researchers. Each month, on the EURAXESS Poland website, you can find offers of grants and scholarships available to PhD students and academic staff. These offers come from various national and international institutions and organizations from around the world and cover all fields of science.

In this episode, you will have the opportunity to meet Hussein Annan – a PhD student at the Doctoral School at Gdańsk Tech, scientifically affiliated with the Faculty of Architecture. He began his PhD training in the academic year 2023/2024 under the supervision of prof. dr hab. inż. arch. Lucyna Nyka from the Department of Urban Architecture and Waterscapes and dr hab. Carmen Anthonj from the University of Twente.

We would like to inform you that the eDocument [4th-5th year] Proposal for extension of the deadline for submission of the dissertation has been made available to MojaPG.

One-time extension is granted for the period indicated in the application, but not longer than one year. The total extension period shall not exceed two years.
