On October 27th, 2023 at 1:00 pm in room LM 10 (Building 15) the seminar of NOBELIUM IDUB recipient dr Jae-Ho Jeon, prof. PG will be held. He will give a lecture entitled "Microstructural Control of Functional Ceramics and Its Effects on Dielectric/Piezoelectric Properties". The seminar is organized by the Institute of Energy at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology.

The Research Impact Leaders Award is an award given to universities and research institutions that have the greatest impact on scientific research and contribute to a better perception of the scientific achievements of Polish universities around the world.

At the end of April this year Gdańsk University of Technology has launched the most modern IT complex in Poland - the Gdańsk Tech STOS Competence Center. The "Kraken" supercomputer was placed in the basement of the facility. Its name was chosen by Tricity residents in an online vote. The culmination of the project was the development of the area around the complex.

We would like to inform you about the obligation to take a course in health and safety (for students) on the eNauczanie platform. The course can be taken in Polish or English. Please complete by December 15, 2023.

The statuette commemorates the 25th anniversary of the Pomeranian Voivodeship Self-Government, which changed Pomerania and its importance in Poland and the united Europe. The prizewinner received it from Mieczysław Struk, Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, and Jan Kleinszmidt, chairman of the Pomeranian Voivodeship Assembly.

"Community over Commercialization" is the theme for this year’s International Open Access Week (October 23-29). This theme encourages a candid conversation about which approaches to open scholarship prioritize the best interests of the public and the academic community and which do not.
