Every year in the first week of March, Open Education Week is celebrated around the world, this year's edition will take place on March 4-8, 2024. The aim of the week is to raise awareness, present initiatives and celebrate the impact of open education on teaching and learning. During Open Education Week, online and local events are organized, such as workshops, webinars, discussions and debates.

The sixteenth seminar of the Advanced Materials Center will be held on February 28th at 1:15 pm in Conference Room of the Hydromechanika Building (Building 11). Prof. Pasquale Cavaliere, University of Salento (Italy), will give a lecture entitled "How can we decarbonize the steel industry?". After the seminar pizza will be served.

The seventeenth seminar of the Advanced Materials Center will be held on March 4th at 2:00 pm in Auditorium 1L of WETI B (Building 42). Prof. Mohammad Imran Asghar, Aalto University, Tampere University and Finish Academy of Science (Finland), will give a lecture entitled "Digital printing of ceramic composite materials for fuel cell application". After the seminar pizza will be served.

Northern Technical University (NTU) was established in 2014 and is one of four public technical universities in Iraq.
