Regulations for the Best Presentation, Best Poster, and Audience Award Competition:
-
As part of the conference, a competition will be held for the best oral presentation(s), best scientific poster(s), and the audience award. The aim of the competition is to recognize participants whose work demonstrates outstanding scientific value, innovation, presentation quality, and audience engagement.
-
Only student participants (undergraduate, graduate, or PhD level) are eligible for the best presentation/poster competition. All accepted oral presentations and posters by eligible students are automatically entered into the competition unless the author explicitly declines to participate.
-
The best presentation/poster competition will be evaluated by a Competition Committee appointed by the Organizing Committee. The Committee consists of experts from the academic and research community with relevant subject matter expertise, who are members of the Conference’s Scientific Committee.
-
The evaluation is based on standardized criteria, including: 1) scientific value, 2) methodology, 3) structure and visual quality, 4) presentation, 5) discussion, and 6) overall impression. In case of a tie in total scores, the ranking will be determined by the higher score in scientific value and methodology. If still tied, subsequent criteria will be considered in the order listed above.
-
The Audience Prize will be awarded to the participant whose comment with a creative photo from the conference under the designated social media post on Facebook or LinkedIn Biomaterials Group Gdansk Tech / PG Biomaterials Team with the hashtag #IMPLANTS2025 receives the highest number of likes during the conference (one participant can submit only one photo for the competition). All active participants are eligible for the Audience Award. The competition starts when it is announced during the conference and continues until the end of the last session on 30.05.2025. The organizers reserve the right to verify the authenticity of the posts and the number of entries submitted.
-
Winners will receive official diplomas and prizes: materials (e.g., books, tools) and/or financial awards. Information about the awarded works will be published on the conference website and/or officially announced during the closing ceremony of the conference.
-
The decisions of the Competition Committee are final and not subject to appeal.
