Research funders, institutions and publishers are increasingly talking about open research. As a broad term which encourages accessibility, transparency and reproducibility of research and supporting information. Open research includes the practices of sharing data, code, preprints, methods, or working in new ways such as Registered Reports.
Publishing is an integral element of the researcher process with most academics required to publish at least once in their professional career. Researchers must also navigate a publishing landscape that is constantly evolving. This session is designed for early career researchers who have little to no publishing experience. It will provide a basic overview of the current state of academic publishing to enable a better understanding of the process.
Openness is key in librarianship, science and research. Our open community is a place for discussion, exchange and mutual learning - a safe place that provides a global perspective and access to thought leaders on the topics of ‘open’ from anywhere in the world. We invite you to join the community for the virtual Open Perspectives Forum.
Conference areas of interest:
As part of the project, the researchers will develop an IT platform named WODIA. It is a set of ICT advanced tools, algorithms and services (a mobile application is also planned), that allows to collect and integrate data from the clinic and individual measurements taken by the pregnant woman (telehealth technology). The platform will collect data such as the health history, vital signs, ultrasound scan, uterine artery blood flow, and a number of biomarkers.
The gearbox was designed under the Lider VIII program. The project was financed by the National Center for Research and Development. The co-financing amount was PLN 1 197 500.
In 2021, the scientific promotions received slightly decreased compared to 2020: the title of professor was obtained by 9 scientists (compared to 11 nominations in 2020), 12 - the degree of habilitated doctor (56 titles in 2020), while the number of defended doctoral dissertations increased - 58 doctoral degrees were awarded (49 in 2020)

The Faculty of Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics under the contract with SAS Institute Sp. z o.o. included into the study programme of Mathematics, a block of subjects called 'SAS Certificate'.

MBA studies and Interenational Management at the Faculty of Management and Economics of Gdańsk University of Technology obtained an international certificate Association of Masters In Business Administration (AMBA), which confirms the highest quality of education.

The international organization CEEMAN has awarded the CEEMAN International Quality Accreditation to the Faculty of Management and Economics.
